She thought at first they were hot wheels collectors, but it turned out they went to the next aisle where the Joes are at, and she could overhear them talking about them. I found it interesting, basically because the only person in my area that I knew of that collected Joes had moved.

So we go into Target when they open the doors, and I'm in the Joe section and they just got the new vehicles, 12" figures, and some single cards (no DVD battle packs though, which is what I was looking for). So, I pick up an extra Hisstank to take home to keep MOC, and all of a sudden there is a pretty girl, a little younger than me, picking up the Trouble Bubble/RAM two-pack. Then a young man around my age turns the corner, and just kinda looks at me. I say to them "so you're the two I've heard about." We talk briefly, and I say to them "Hey, you want these, you can have them as I already have a set of each" and I hand him the Hiss. He says "Really, that's cool of you."

I get their names, give them some information about upcoming figures, and tell them to visit Hisstank. Overall, a wonderful experience to not be a 'plastic glutton' and share GI Joe with others.
dat was real cool of you, sharing is caring lol

I prefer not to associate with Hot wheels guys because i worked retail and had to kick many a HW collector out for store for sneaking into back room or opening cases in back. Also HW collectors are "runners". got knocked to ground 4 years ago by a 50 year old HW collector at a target at opening. Bastage pushed me aside, since i was in front of him, as they opened door and ran in. Hit my wrist and sprained it. had target call cops, old fart ran out garden center and drove away.
lmao, im sorry but dis story is hilarious 2 me,

I too have seen the savagery when it comes to Joe collecting in Phoenix (so many stores so little product) It has made me one of those vindictive collectors too. I have had real good success when it comes to finding the Joes and getting there first because of the cut throat nature. But there have been times when I have found stuff I already have, and don't need and wished I could help out another collector who plays fair but just dosen't have the time and resources I have. I have to give props to the phoenix tankers that are cool enough to post there sightings and not brag about how they cleaned out a store and left nothing for the rest of us. The cool ones have been responsable for most of my finds and if any one in Phoenix is intrested in joining forces aginst the scalpers and horders drop me a line. DVD packs are showing up and I could use the help or who knows I may be able to help you!

I am going to be moving to LA at the end of the summer with my family. The company is closing my plant and I am transfering to to the LA plant.

I worry about the hunt etc as I have heard of how hard it is to find stuff out there. Hopefully I will get lucky along the way.

On a side note, I wanted to share a similar store that I shared last year. I found two Yellow Stalkers in Target and purchased them. This was JUST before the yellow Stalker craze. I put it in Ebay for $20.00. I didn't get any hits so I knocked it down to $15.00. Guy sends an offer for $13.00 which I was going to take but then he suddenly bought it for $15.00.

The next couple of days before I sent it out, I find out they are now this HOT commodity and people are paying $50+ for it. Well, I hadn't mailed it to this guy. I figured, WTH, I don't like it when people on Ebay dick me around so I wasn't going to do it to this guy either. I sent it in the in the mail as scheduled even though I could have kept it and resold it later for MUCH more.

The guy emailed me, thanking me for sending it so fast and for being honest, He thought he was going to get snowed on the deal. I followed through because I didn't want the "Karma to run over my Dogma"

Chins up guys, there are some honest folks still out there.

Nice job.... I saw a Joe collector at the Target in Burbank CA, yesterday and I wanted to talk to him, as I could tell he was there for only Joes and was looking for Battle Packs, which my wife was working on getting with the local Manager....Never got them as they were on the OFF Site warehouse....
