This story also strikes a cord with me. Two of my best friends came from such actions. I have also met a lot of cool people in this hobby this way. Just like Shogi, people have given me figs that I needed and I have done the same. This hobby is not about "yourself" 100% but helping others and making friends along the way.

There are countless times and examples that I can name of people helping me out and me helping others out. Collectors who are not selfish and willing to help out others. Guess what, when I started doing that my collection started growing. I started getting things that I wanted more of. And what's more I'm pretty sure that if I wanted the rest of wave 9 all I would have to do is put the word out and I would have friends coming out of every corner to help me out. Guess what, Karma isn't just a stripper anymore!
i took offense at the karma referrence,i am not trying to start a fight, just trying to state my thoughts.

I think it was a nice thing to do, I was just busting his chops. I did something similar with Cars toys. I found 2 Dale Jr.s, and I as I was walking off a lady and kid came up and were looking through the pegs. I heard her say something about Dale Jr. so I went back and gave it to the kid. I also have friends whose kids like cars so I call them if I see something new (my kids come first tho )

This is a real life example of what often occurs right here at the 'Tank. The whole sighting section of the forum is exactly that. You find something and let someone else have it. If someone needs a figure for their collection we often pick them up for them for no profit. Sometimes we even hide them for one another. Kudos to The Commander for taking the same mentality and paying it forward.

I can only hope I run into people that would give up a figure for me to buy. Just yesterday one guy cleared out all the figures and vehicles to the comic store I went, litterally 10 sec before I got there (damn if I took a faster street I would have gotten there first). Its good to hear stories like this, whether its a rare case or not at least you know it can happen. And I think another question is, how pretty this girl was even though she was obviously taken

Because people are tired of fighting and trolling. The way your posts read to me seemed like you wanted a fight and that is why we are SO SERIOUS. Just like Echo said, if you have nothing fresh to ad to the thread then move along.
