I found what I had hoped had been done -- if I'm not mistaken, it looks like all the Joe Marvel comics have been reprinted in 5 volumes. But I found this link:
http://www.amazon.com/G-I-Joe-Real-A...6013299&sr=1-1 as well as some others, where Vol 5 is rather expensive, as are vols. 3 and 4. Were there not many printed, or what? Also, I used to read the Marvel comics as a kid, but haven't seen another Joe comic ever. Could someone give me a quick primer on other Joe comics? |

Actually the Marvel Trades only go to issue 50, I believe, and volume
2or3 has a printing error. |

Not many printed and Marvel lost the license soon after. I'm sure they were meaning to print the remaining volumes but stopped after DD acquired it back in 01. Still, $99 for volume 5? That's insane. I'd wait until IDW start reprinting them.
Or er... acquire them from... cough... torrents... |

$98!? Damn...
I think you could probably get the issues that TPB covers for much less than that. |

yeah, the $25 cover price of the TPB is almost too much already, but the secondary market prices are rediculous. I've tried watching them on ebay but it's always the same, they start out at $9.99 then end up around $50 each. I've been sorta lucky in that I've found #'s 1 and 5 at a comic store for cover price and #3 at a used bookstore for $7. The odd thing about it all is #3 and #1 seem to be the easiest to get, but the rest are near impossible. I swear I kick myself for being such a moron when these came out. I saw them at the coimic shop and was all like "Oh, I only like the new GI Joe comics" and "TPB's should only be $10-$15 not $25" Now, I'd kill to have all 5

I've just been picking up the originals whenever I find them. Slow going, but they bring back so many memories.

I'm sure this was said somewhere else, but do we know about when the new TPBs are going to be released? Was it sometime in 2009?
