Wow, just wow!
After reading this thread http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13258 about a fellow Tanker that got Banned, and also Ripped off another fellow Tanker for some valuable merchandise. I have come to realize how vaulable a good reputation arround this place can be. The Tanker in question apparently had a bad reputation for getting into arguments. Therefore other Tankers were uneasy trading, or dealing with said tanker. I'm pretty new to buying/trading goods here, but the one experince I have had was great. I bought an APC from a tanker in Canada named nighthawk. It was a very reasonable price, and When I got it the damn thing was perfect!! Great experience. I'd like to stick arround here, and have some more great experiences like that one was. It kinda seems like we all get into some petty arguments here at the tank (Myself not excluded). Arguments like "I think the movie will suck" Vs. "I don't think the movie will suck". Or "My Dad can beat up Your Dad" Vs. "No He can't!" These are all opinions, and we know what opinions are like. Before reading the above mentioned thread I assumed we were all of the knowledge that these were "friendly" debates, but no. Sometimes people get offended, or offend others (again myself not excluded). This has prompted Me to go back through all my post, and remove the posts that might seem at all offensive or arguementive. So If you see a bunch of replies to things I've posted, but don't see the original post, that is why. It seems Tankers take great pride in how many post they have by their name. So do I, but now my ammount is much smaller. However now I can take more pride knowing all my posts are of a positive nature. You people are the only people I have to talk to about this subject (GI.Joe). I could talk to My girlfriend or someone else close to me about it, but if I bring up Globulous, or the Arisaka Clan they just don't know what the hell I'm talking about. lol! Thanks, Dan |

Hey man. I agree with you and think everyone can agree that everyone can have an opinion about something, and we don't have to agree with it, but it doesn't mean they are a bad person. I don't think people mean to affend by stating there opinions, and I hope people don't take this stuff personally.
good stuff there dan |

Last week I was complaining how GI Joe Club screwed up. It turns out a Tanker wanted the 12" figure instead of the 3.75". So we ended up swapping figures. It worked out well. So in this case, a little be of negativity worked for me.

We are adults (I assume,) talking about toys, so there's probably bound to be some weirdness going on. ;-) However, it's essential to remember that WE ARE ADULTS. It becomes so much easier to say things on a message board because you can't see the other person, but you have to imagine yourself on the other side of the screen. I know a lot of the world is dishonest and unfair, but that doesn't give an individual any excuse or right to be that way. At the end of the day, regardless of what others do, we are responsible for our own actions and have to answer for our own actions. I know it sounds preachy, but I'm actually writing this as a reminder to myself, because I have had to learn some of these lessons the hard way.

A "good reputation" applies in any aspect of life.

And this seems an ideal thread to take the opportunity to apologise to anyone (including Delta) who I may have offended during my stay here.
I defend my "wait and see" approach to the movie quite passionately sometimes, and coupled with domestic problems (no excuse I know as they're nobody's problem but my own, but I'm only human) I get "heated". So my views won't change, but I guess the way I present them will. So everyone just shut up and agree with me

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! (in a friend to a friend sort of way... ) self control is the key to many things, and when someone doesn't seem to have any they are probably having a bad day or something, try to have an open mind.
