I like a good mix. Cobra-La certainly has some good concepts, but I wouldn't want to see realism totally thrown out the window. Day-glo colors, and everybody with a ray gun = NO.
Ninjas, however, are a dead fad that needs to be left rotting in the 80s. Stormshadow is the only ninja the line should have. Snake Eyes needs to be returned to his original concept of a commando with more martial training that most. |

I like a good mix as well. I prefer GI Joe to be grounded in a realistic military world, while Cobra can be more fantastical and fantasy driven, as long as it is not too over the top.

I like realistic, with "sci-fi" elements within the realm of possibility. Basically, current technology extrapolated to it's potential end by focused research and development. I don't want super heroes, transformers, or star wars. All of these already exist. I like to feel like this could take place in this world at this time. Too much crazy crap blows that out of the water. That fact that it is "almost" feasible, is what makes GI joe appealing to me. Pure fantasy is boring. To me reality is far more impressive than fiction.

if "realistic" means camoflauge and "over the top" is neon colors, then i choose realistic.
I always concidered joes to be "In the near future" so to speak. So a little sci fi is ok. |

Speaking of sci-fi elements, this just popped up today:
Army Moves Ahead With Mobile Laser Cannon | Danger Room from Wired.com As far as the topic, I can deal with almost anything as long as it's conveyed true to the story line. I don't have a problem with armed forces knowing some martial arts, but leave the crazy stunts for the ninja's, just as long as their jaws can still be broken by somebody like Roadblock, or can be shot just as easily when in the open. |

Not too realistic to the point where it looks like the 12" soliders from HotToys.
I like it just the way it is now on the 25th line. |

I lean toward more realistic, as 82-85 were my favorite years of ARAH and I was more a fan of the comic.
