Is Wave 9 gonna be hard to find???

I live in a place that will probably start getting wave 9 in 2-4 weeks, hopefully. I'm not a completist, so I won't be getting them all, but I wanted a Snow Serpent or 2 and possible General Hawk for customizing purposes. Thanks to this great forum, I knew that they had been released, so I go to ebay, and run across this auction:

Now, hopefully, I will go to Wal-Mart in 2-4 weeks (I stop by there on the way to work EVERY DAY), and pick up a General Hawk for $6.84 (or $6.97 if the price has indeed gone up). Why would someone pay greater than 5x what I'm hoping to pay for this figure? Are they going to be that hard to find, or are people just being impatient?

its gonna be like anything else, hard at the beginning then warming the pegs. I saw a guy pay $125 for 6 wave figures the other on ebay, what a dope. You can get some good pre-order prices if you really worried, otherwise just be patient. Good comes to those who wait.

My cousin was at walmart the other day and he was able to get 2 complete sets . 1 for me and 1 for him, with 2 bats each.

If you live anywhere near Virginia, DC or Maryland I can tell you where to get them right now. I got mine straight out the box yesteday @ about 7pm.

Unfortunately, I live in the Heartland, and there seems to be a blackhole sometimes. But I'm not complaining, because we have gotten waves 7 and 8, and I know that some on these boards can't find 'em. I'm not necessarily opposed to paying 2x their Wal-Mart value (bbts and brianstoys have some individual figures priced like this), but $35 for a fig that just came out? Whew.

Oh yeah and the WalMart I went to hasn't raised prices. Strange...

Every wave other than the early comic packs are difficult to find here.

Good news, with Target going to 7.99 a fig maybe they'll be easier to find afterall.
