So i feel i i should call this out. Yesterday a hisstank.com member started a thread about a listing for wave 9 case on ebay. Hes asking $120.00 + shipping which comes to about $16.12 a figure. Hes also selling single figures for $16.99 a piece. This is a blatant scalp of figures. I called him out on this and i received an infraction for it. Now, this is a collector site and i know all of us(or atleast the majority of us) are against scalping. I dont think its fair that me, or any of my fellow tankers received an infraction for voicing our opinions out against an issue that is affecting the collection community.
Heres the ebay page: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=150266150482 Heres the thread: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12751 Im not saying start a war here, or get crazy with this guy im sure hes not a bad person. Just a scalper. I offered a fair deal for this wave and was laughed at. An offer was made on the ebay page and was declined. i just find it sad that someone would come on a collector site with something so blatant, and we are the ones who get punished for voicing out about it |

Dude, I would just let it go. If you look hard enough, you'll find it at retail. Or just order it through BBTS. It may take a little longer, but you know you're getting them for sure.
I understand your point, but it's not worth getting mad at. When he/she finds figures, he/she can charge whatever they want for them. It's their right. And it's your right to keep walking... |

How would you like it if someone posted in your sell/trade thread to jump all over you? Who gets to decide the difference between a "fair" and "unfair" asking price? Who gets to police that? Should we start a witch hunt every time someone upsets us? The solution is easy and it's the one adopted by this forum - don't post in someone's trade if you have a problem. Just ignore it. If the price is unfair, no one will buy.

They're not hurting you, if someone wants to pay it then fine. I missed out on a Yellow Stalker for $100 a few months ago because I thought THAT was too pricey. I now wish I went for it since I saw it on eBay last week for $300-$700. |

Agreed, I have sold things on the tank for cost or less and some on Ebay for a profit to help pay for BBTS orders. No big deal. No need to start a thread calling other tankers out.

I'm thinking with all the increases we've been getting at retail, by the time wave 11 or Hall of Heroes comes out it'll cost 120.00 for a case.

BUild a bridge and get over it. For this is a free country and free site. scalpers have not stop me from getting every thing in this 25th line. Or ethier has the infraction I received a few months back for voicing my opion about the same thing. The moderators on here only care about every body being treated fairly, and with equal respect. Which is only right. for if they did not i am sure this site would not be up and running any more. |
