So far, I have learned about the following that are possibly generic or knock-offs. Can someone please verify and confirm whether they are knock-offs and generic. If you have pics, please attached it for comparison.
1. Funkool 2. Action Force 3. Argentina 4. Palistrami 5. European 6. Mexico Eventhough they are made for certain countries, I noticed they have the "Hasbro" logo on carded figures and the imprints. |

I know Funskool is one of those Generic or Knock-Offs joe makers and carry the Hasbro! The rest I'm not sure.
But I've seen knock-off of the joe toys although they don't carry the hasbro or joe logos, they just end up with another name. one of them: Soldier Force - Walgreens carry them, even Rite-Aid they even did the knock-off on GI Joe Extreme back in the day: the real mccoy the knock-off

I consider Funskool and Plastirama to be knock offs, other colletors don't see it the same way (Apparently there are "rare" Funskool items) Also I know Funskool was officially given the rights to produce GI Joe figures thus making them not a knock off (Doesn't change the fact that they toys are knock off quality)
As for Action Force, it is a legit line that had it's own figures with vintage star wars articulation then later it incorporated GI Joe figures. Official GI Joe figures overseas were called "Action Force" Personally I like the Action Force figures, they also had a few "exclusives" that we in the US never got to see like the Roboskull vehicle, Tiger Force Outback and Psyche Out. Then there were items like the "Escape Armor" (Red SNAKE armor) Here's the best link for Action Force toys: http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/afonline/home.html And here's the old Action Force comic. It starts out like the toy line with just the characters that started in Action Force then later incorporates GI Joe characters. (There's also an explanation about who Cobra Commander really is and how he got started) http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/Blood/Index.html |
