Is your Target a regular Target or Super-Target? I've noticed more Joe products at Super-Targets. Also, what was the ROTS fiasco? Since I don't collect Star Wars I don't know the details of this problem.

wait, there are super-Targets, too? I haven't seen one of those here...they're building/moving one into the Warwick Mall where Macy's used to be, but I'm not sure if that will be a super-Target...never knew those existed.

I never shop at Target, Toys R Us or Kay-Bee. Never find anything at K-Mart. The only place I can ever find anything is Walmart.

The ROTS fiasco may be referring to the so-called Lava Vaders (basically a reddish Darth Vader) that were Target exclusives prior (I think) to the film's release in theaters. There were only, like, 50,000 made or so. Well, in some places, some people were able to get to them before the release date and some people bought them all up and then, like at my store, someone was there and just emptied all the pegs of them into his shopping cart, leaving not a single one on the pegs. Fortunately that day, one of the Target employees went in the back and brought me one out. Apparently there were still a few in the back. Of course, I also only asked for one. The employees at my Target are generally very helpful. They got the Order 66 sets for me (I only wanted the Tsui Choi one) from the back. They also got me the Demise of General Grievous out of the back, too. I try to be VERY polite to store employees and usually approach them with something like "Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you could..." and most of the time they will help me. I have had people tell me, with different levels of courtesy and lack thereof, that they were too busy or that was not their job, etc. I try not to take it personal, and sometimes I ask if they know of someone else who could help me, or I just find another employee. I don't complain to managers, what good does it do? I'm not the God Emperor of Dune so I don't expect to be treated as such. If they help me, I always try to thank them for their time and trouble and show appreciation and gratitude. This approach has served me well. I've been lied to by many employees (TRU used to be the worst with the "everything we have is on the sales floor" line) but I learned to accept it as one of the obstacles of collecting. To be candid, it seems that some collectors have this Napoleonic sense of entitlement-seeming to believe they should walk into a store at any given moment and the employees should get down on hands and knees and crawl up to them and present them the latest wave of action figures wrapped in mink on a platinum platter. |

Don't worry. I'm sure "Mr. Johnny Target" there will move on eventually. Target has a decent turnover rate with employees.

I think the "Super-Targets" have the giant red balls outside the store and more groceries than a regular target. At least that is how it is here. Also the Super Targets are the ones with the scanners that you can manually enter the DCPI #'s.
