I thought the box was in very good shape. I got it at Wal-Mart but it didn't look mauled or heavily damaged.

That's the point. If you had a score of 100, that would mean that you have the single best version of that figure in existence. The only way to confirm that would be to grade every since one that exists. Since that's impossible to verify, you can't call any one figure the "best" graded sample since it's always possible that someone could produce a better one.
Oh, it is very possible!

That is the premier auctions site and account. They have the best of the best when it comes to graded items. I don't have too much info on the company but they are mentioned in Lee's Toy Review and have some partnership with AFA.

oh ok...no wonder they have such high graded items. Its all politics folks...If those 95's were submitted by anyone one of us they would have been 85's. Money talks like always

How does a 95/100/100 score a 100 ?
Wouldn't it make sense that an overall 100 absolutely MUST sub grade @ 100/100/100 ...???

Average is 98, which pushes it to a 100.
And no, it's not all politics. If it's a 100, it's a 100. They actively seek out the best of the best. Why is that hard to believe? If you look at the other auctions, there are not any other 100 grades. If it was all about politics, wouldn't they all, or most of them, be graded at 100? And would it not be a figure that is highly sought after? It is what it is.

My question is this: What qualifies AFA over anyone else's opinion?
