I just think the star wars line is running low on ideas for figures, anyone know about the ugly, multi-boobed, man-thing from jabba's palace thats coming out in the next few waves? what kid wants to play with that? freaky. And the joes are better (in my opinion)

I've got over a 1000 of the sw guys on display in my office and (maybe) 20 joes... they tend to get dropped in a plastic box. Since I'm only buying the Joes I really want as well, it hasn't impacted my SW collecting... which is pretty slow since the Force Unleashed came/went and we're in the middle of a repaint (mostly) wave... which is a nice chance to catch somthing you missed, but not impotant for me to "gotta-catch-'em-all" And the Clone Wars will also be a nice break since I'll be skipping those.

I've cut back on my SW collecting as well. Nothing really good has come out in a while and the only figure I am looking forward to is Cade Skywalker.
I've already moved a whole shelf of SW figures up out of clear view to make room for Joes. That shelf is now dedicated to the original 13 plus my vintage mobat and Vamp. |

Good luck with that. I snagged the entire Force Unleashed series in on store, and i haven't seen them since with the exception of a Rahm Kota or Juno Eclipse randomly scattered in the toy isle.

yeah, i've found the evo trooper, the apprentice 3 pack, and a shadow guard, just no vader. the problem with sw is there is only like 1 or 2 figs per wave that you want, then the crappy product sits on the self forever, preventing reorder. joe stuff might have 1 or 2 figs that you don't want (yeah, I'm looking right at you RB and CC) but even with 3 or 4 cases out, its almost all gone in a few days, allowing for replenishment.

The SW collectors in my local network have told me more and more SW collectors are switching to Joe. I guess they dig our figure's articulation or something. I didn't ask him to clarify. I don't pretend to understand SW collectors anyway.

The 25th Anniv. Joes got me back into active action figure collecting; the last couple years I haven't bought much but the occassional Transformers Classics or Alternators.
I haven't bought a Star Wars figure since 2005, but I did hang in there for a good 10 years. I just picked up a handful of Revenge of the Sith figures I thought were sorta cool, and then called it a day on the whole line a couple of weeks after that movie. |

my Star Wars collecting has died down more for the fact that its the same figures over and over again. plus theres a lot of figures that just don't interest me. I really don't care about Jabbas band members. so thats what I'm giving up when I get Joes instead.
