The Thanksgiving debate of the week will focus on:Vehicles:new molds, or reissues.
Our question of this week:Do you want new molds/updated versions or reissues of classic ARAH vehicles? For further clarification, this is not a poll asking if you want updated reissues, such as the upcoming GHOST Hawk which has new parts, or VAMP which also has new parts. Those vehicles fall under the reissue category, and so far that is all that is all we have gotten. This poll is asking if you want all new molds for classic vehicles. For example, this is not asking if you want an F-22 based Skystriker, this is asking if you would want an all new mold of the F-14 based XP-14F Skystriker, or lets say the Dragonfly, would you want just an reissue of that which could fit anniversary figures, or an all new mold? Maybe a bit bigger, closer to scale, more details, enhanced sense of realism, et al. Basically a modernized toy of the Dragonfly, based on the classic design, but using the technology of today. This is not a discussion on whether this will happen or not, or the reasons behind both. This is a discussion on what you want for ARAH vehicles. The anniversary figures have constantly improved to the point where a significant number of them completely outclass their RAH counterparts. Many fans asked why we didn't get all new molds of our RAH vehicles while our figures did. I understand the reasons why, and this discussion has to do with the former. Would everyone want a bigger, more realistic, all new mold of the Rattler? I know I would. That goes for basically all of the vehicles. To see the classic vehicles get all new molds just as the classic characters got all new molds in the anniversary line would be awesome. I'd love to see a bigger Conquest, a two seater, with detailed weapon racks, swappable weapons, more removable panels, just as durable as the original, and with gear that help the nose sit upright when the gear is down. Or how about the v1 HISS? I love having the opportunity to own it, and I like mine quite much, however can you imagine an all new HISS based on the original, but bigger, with opening side/back doors, bigger guns, etc? What I am thinking of is a HISS that looks much like the V1, and predominantly looks like the V1 but modernized, with aspects of the DTC and HISS II. DISCUSS!

I'm definitely for new molds of classic vehicles. BIGGER BETTER HISS sounds awesome! Give us a Tomahawk Hasbro!

All new mold all the way. They're bigger now so the vehicles need to grow with them. Plus I wouldn't mind the new details they would put it.
But don't it be like the CLAW... that was a disappointing upgrade. |

I would buy an updated new mold of an F-14. Ditto to a more accurate (and larger) Dragonfly.

Some vehicles that would probably look awesome with new molds are the Storm Eagle(YF-23) and Liquidator. Leave the water guns out, make them bigger, more realistic and detailed, and you have two deadly looking joe/cobra jets! |

To me, what we get is not the same as what we had before. If they are going to spent the time and money into redoing molds with little updates, then they should just bite the bullet and re make them from the ground up...
As in the Skystriker. Ok, they say they dont have the mold. Make a new one and make it better then before. Also the HISS. I thought it was cheap when I was 6. I would love to see a modern version with moving tracks. I like the idea of the Storm Eagle(YF-23) and Liquidator being re-molded to a realistic modern product. They were good looking in there day, but with the way they could be now, they could be awesome!!! If they are going to release something thats old, dont bother modifying it. But if they are going to spent the money to modify, they should just retool and make a all new mold and update for realism.

Updated new molds for everything would be my vote. I'd rather spend the extra few dollars on all new molds, plus Hasbro can always repaint them and re-issue them to cover costs. I'd really like a brand new Tomahawk. It was my favorite vehicle from back in the day. Those silly seats need to be updated and it would be cool if a Tiger Force Ferret could fit in the loading compartment. Dragon fly is definite, and please give us a cooler updated Stun and Night Raven.

I'd love to get new, better-scaled, more-detailed updates of classic vehicles. I just don't see how I could afford them... if a new Rattler is $25 using mostly recycled parts, what's a bigger, all-new one going to cost? I'd love a properly-scaled F14, but that thing would be HUGE in addition to being expensive. I barely have space to display my figures as it is.
So do I WANT them? Yes. Do I want them to come out? Not really. |

I want updated versions or new molds of Dragonfly, Skystriker, Night Raven, Killer Whale, APC, Snow Cat, Mauler and for MOBAT & HISS tank which have been released before in the modern toyline. Those last two vehicles deserve better & updated new molds because their designs are beginning to show their age.
