I got kind of mad today when I went to TRU in my town today and I have seen this at walmart alot in the past, the Joe's or other figures strown or thrown around the isle as if a tornado had gone through there. I always put the figures back on the peg after I look through them , I know some are thinking " Who care's".I just don't like seeing this mess , because I wouldn't want to straighten that mess up all the time if I worked there. Plus to me it makes us as collectors look bad.I know it might be kids but you never know.

oh man this is so funny that you say this. I went to Cobra HQ (walmart) a few weeks ago and there were joes all over the place. Somebody had taken them all off the pegs. At first I thought "man somebody else got here first" then right after I picked them all up and put them back on the pegs I walked around the corner to get my little girl a new My Little Pony and when I walked back by there was a kid that I had just seen at the end of the isle before pulling them all back off the pegs and putting them back where they were before I put them up. The little brat couldn't have been over 9. When he saw me I guess he thought I was an employee and took off running to his family. I wanted to take off my belt, grab the little brat by his back belt loop, lift him off the ground and whip the hell out of him.

It's not that I physically take them off the pegs, I wear TAG for GI Joes and they fly off and rub themselves on my body.

FFanglin I'm with you on that one. If I find them lying around I pick them up. It is my thought that the more of a mess thats left for the employee to fix the less likely they will be willing to help.

When I get angry at the lack of good figures, I tend to throw what ignorant lay people would call a "hissy fit" in the middle of the store. Sometimes this leads to be throwing toys about, knocking children on the floor, breaking those price scanners in the aisle, falling around, flopping and screaming, kicking and biting anything within reach, etc. It is unfortunate, but it is not a behavior that can be controlled. It is called "hissytillomania," and is listed in the DSM-IV under the "Impulse-control disorders not elsewhere classified" category, and thus is no laughing matter. Please understand the plight that myself, and others like myself, have to suffer through. The cruelty in your posts truly hurts. It really does.

My wife hates when I put them back on the pegs. I also "face" the figures, making sure there are equal numbers on each peg, so it looks orginized.
I used to stock toy shelves when the Star wars figures made their comeback in the 90's and I'm partly anal too. LoL Sometimes I long for those days. I loved having everything orginized.

My brother got massive clumsy over the years which leads to me putting figures back on shelves when we head out to the store. I don't understand how he walks into so many hanging pegs.
And Echo almost going "James Evans Sr." on a kid ........... priceless. |
