I always put the Joes back on the pegs every time I see a messed up Joe display. At least I'm not alone.

Honestly, even though i never see the joe aisle, or any other aisle messed up, when i look at the figures, i treat and handle them like they are in my own collection. If i see one i don't want, i don't throw it aside, i will place it on a peg with others i don't need. I try to be as careful as i can, even if i am not buying them...

I worked as a store manager for KB (when they were cool) and a dept manager/asst manager for TRU. I have seen it all. When I am out and about I always find myself picking up toys and straighting the aisle. One time at K Mart I had LP come and grill me because, well you know, if you ever been in a K Mart you guys know how frigging bad they look. There was hardly nothing on the pegs. Everything was on the shelves. I told them that all I wanted was to be able to shop and with the area destroyed, I had to clean it! A manager came up and after a few minutes he offered me a job. I of course nicely declined. Also what Echo was talking about with beating that kid with a belt, I too have felt that way and sometimes I wanted to beat the tar out of the parents for letting their little hellions run ramped in the store.

My wife hates when I put them back on the pegs. I also "face" the figures, making sure there are equal numbers on each peg, so it looks orginized.
I used to stock toy shelves when the Star wars figures made their comeback in the 90's and I'm partly anal too. LoL Sometimes I long for those days. I loved having everything organized. The sad part about all this is that I'm the same guy who used to get pissed off at customers for rearranging the shelves at the video store I used to work at. These people though used to come to the mall everyday in a group from a mental hospital or something, but they kinda reminded me of Rain-man. (Please do not think I'm making fun of anyone like that though because that is not my intention) Then they would come up to the register and tell me that they "fixed" up the store. As far as Joes go I never see any just lying around anywhere, especially where they belong...ON THE PEGS. Stores for the most part have been empty. I totally understand the frustration for those who running into situations like this. I hate when a shopper picks up something then decides they do not want to buy it and they end up just leaving it anywhere else in the store. My mom does this all the time while we are shopping and I yell at her, or simply put it back myself. I guess this is why I no longer work in retail. |

I'm a bit OCD - I always straighten up before I go. Even when there's nothing there for me.
