I was just wondering if anybody has one of these. I've been thinking of picking one up off of ebay but the pictures aren't that great. If someone has one, is it a pretty descent figure to have? It looks pretty cool from what I can tell just want to make certain it's a good quality figure, and if anyone has some good pics of one that would be great too. Thank you very much.

What do you mean good quality?
It's basically a Segie in black. They are very hip, I have about 12 of them. I don't have any pictures though, I am sorry, I have them in storage at the moment. If you are a fan of the arah styled figures, I highly recommend that you buy the six pack of them. The only downside of the set was that they came with ninja weapons and not guns. |

Well I bought a few of those Collector's edition figures that were put out I guess it's been 2 or 3 years ago maybe? I remember the arms on a lot of them felt real rubbery, at least to me they did. Are the shadow guards constructed as well as the joes from the 80's. I hope I'm making sense cause I usually confuse myself.
Edit: Looks like I was off about 5 years, the CE came out in 2000. Can't believe it was that long ago. Last edited by Vmar72; 06-04-2008 at 02:24 AM.. |

The Collectors Edition line was awesome! I have all of them, plus a few troop builders. I am just missing the vehicles.
The paint washes on most of them were funky, and not the good kind of funky. The Crimson Shadow Guards are just repaints of the Crimson Guards from the TRU 6 pack that came out a few years ago. They all have the original Segie body, but have a head underneath their helmets. Generals Joes has an awesome review on the set, here. If you are a fan of the original style figures, then I say go for it. They are an awesome addition to anyones collection. I really hope we get a 25th/modern era update to them! |

Thank you for the link to that review, those pics were awesome. I was thinking of just getting one, now i'm gonna try and find two of them. They go very well with that CC too. Might see if anyone here wants to sell a couple before turning to ebay. Thank you for all of your help Dream, most appreciated.
