dood at the wal marts here in san leandro california and the one in union city..
its exactly the opposite I feel your pain though.. (well not really) since i dont shop in the store. But I sure would be upset if i had to go through with that stuff so I can "empathize" I would suggest calling 'corporate' tell them that several times you have went into the store.. ect and this is your experience. write a detailed letter with dates and what have you tell them the store # time of day and number of stores you were shopping it It will get results... but don't rant or act like a PUD.. Just do a little bit of whining (don't drown them with your tears) but a few well placed sobs will work wonders |

In my area, the Wal-Mart is completely useless for any form of customer service. Ask a question and either you get the rolled eyes, or they wander about trying to find the object you are looking for (usually in the same spot you just looked). When I go to Target, they are always friendly and when I ask a question, they either know immediately the exact location and stock if any or get on their radios to ask someone with more knowledge than them.

Here, in Pittsburgh, 99% of the people I deal with at Wal-mart are assholes also. They dont know their ass from a hole in the ground. Thus getting any info about joes is beyond expectations. I had one associate tell me that they were no longer carrying Joes because they now carry Indiana Jones. - WTF? Also, how hard is it to greet the customer at the register. It is just a matter of being a decent person. I greet people on the sidewalk in passing - it is just common curtesy. I guess some people never learned that or don't because they are in a bad mood. In response, if you are having a bad day, keep it to your self or shove it up your ass. Target is much better in aiding with the search. And most of the workers their are pretty helpfull. However, for one lady whom, gave me some pretty skewed info...I will save that for another thread |

It's the same for me...Wal-Mart is where I find my product and courtesy from employees...The folks at my nearby Target (a 45 min drive anyway) are rude and they NEVER have joe product on the shelves...
I used to drop by there, because the nearest ToysRUs to me is there across the road and they have a large mall too..But I've stopped wasting my time at Target...They're a waste of time for me..Wal-Mart is the better route for me here... Saboteur |

So because your GF's job sucks, Customer service and common courtesy go out the window? I am not the only one who feels a little courtesy is in order when I bring my business to a store. Check your own post for the Customer bitching, They aren't bitching because the checker was polite and courteous. Probably the opposite.
I am not going to bring it up with your GF's cohorts, who clearly don't care. I am going to make a clear statement to the management that there are other places to spend my money. If that store wants my money ( to pay that employee's wages) for the same item I can buy at every other store in town, a simple and VERY FREE Hi is all it takes. I like to leave the store feeling good about my purchase. As far as who is supposed to say Hi first, The customer or the employee? Look at any and all employee orientation videos for that answer. It's there. ]So you buy your stuff then go to customer sevice and return it??? All because they wont say hello to you??? and what point does this make? That you stood in line only to stand in another line to return what you just bought? I could honestly care less what they say to me.....Im not there to make friends with them cashiers.......if it keeps happening and it hurts your feelings....dont go there.....maybe you dont know how they feel.....A manager barking down their throats for not selling more Credit Cards then Susie......A customer bitching at them because they are having a bad day.........My GF works for Walmart and its not all you think its cracked up to be........so for all cashiers in the future heres a "Hello" and "have a nice day to ya"......."Now you come back and see us soon"....better???[/QUOTE] Last edited by txbart; 05-30-2008 at 12:58 PM.. |
