Breaker, Flash, Major Bludd, Blowtorch, Cobra Commander and Destro all on the same day via mail order (My mum was writing the payment cheque for them so I may as well get as many as I could). All on the old red, white & blue Action Force cards (with "free mail-away Grunt" offer!)
Then on the very same day I received the above in the post, I was out on a summer hoilday day trip and found Zartan & Swamp Skier and the Action Force "Action Pack" which included a CLAW, Cobra Trooper, Duke and another Ripcord. My first ever 'Joe' haul and I had duplicates...

i cant remember if i answered this yet, but here goes anyway...
sears wishbook '82, i believe, had the MMS w/hawk and the flak as a combined deal. i asked my mom for them cuz i would use them with my star wars toys. that flak looked like a deathstar turbo laser to me. she got them for me and i soon discovered that i couldnt allow my toylines to intermingle.....but the Joe toys fascinated me so much that star wars took a back seat to GI Joe. |

Breaker, Snake-eyes, Scarlett, Flash, Cobra Officer-straight arms, still have them and accessories, 2 straight armed Snake Eyes because the "dick piece" broke off one of them. They are scuffed up from play, but in prob C grade condition.

I got Doc as my first Joe. I can still remember sitting next to the Xmas tree and opening the package. AHHH!!! Such great memories.
So glad they remade him.

The oldest figure I remember having was an '83 Gung-ho, but I think it was my older brother's... I didn't personally get into it until a couple years later...
I'd be curious to know what everybody's "last" was... when did you (if ever) jump off the GI Joe train. Looking at yojoe.com I "outgrew" joes finally in 1992; I think Wetsuit from that year was the last... and still a damn cool fig.
