Here's a question for the diorama displayers: Do you mix you're vintage ARAH figures and your new style joes in display's? I've found that I just can't do it. As much as I love my vintage figures for the nostalgia, they really look like a whole diffrent species when standing next to their modern counterpart. any thoughts or even pics of displays showing that they can be one big happy joe family. As my example of vintage/modern segregation I present Maj.Bludd and Bossk...

I can't do it either. It's like mixing Coke & Pepsi. You have one or the other. Can't combine them.
I have a glass curio with my MOC Vintage Joes, One for my MOC 25th Joes and others for Star Wars etc... I can't even mix the SW vintage w/'95+. My dioramas (Joe or SW) all have to be separated. So I say keep them separate. |

if i had all the counterparts to my new 25th Joes, i'd love to pose them with them, to show the contrast and awesomeness of the new ones...although, i say this without personally seeing it...but i like how it looks in your pic above...crazy how big the ARAH heads were, and how i never noticed it 20+ years ago

I don't have any of my original joes left, but I would probably keep them separate. I do keep the vehicles I have left on display with my 25th.

Keep them apart. The old ones don't hold up. Looks awkward. You can mix match accessories, vehicles, & play sets all you want.

Yeah, I ran into that problem when I thought I could intergrate the 25th Cobra Troops/Vipers/Siegies with their old school counterparts... It just looked so...wrong. Now some of the newer Joes like VvV, Spytroops, and definitely the single carded DTC figures work pretty well with the 25th line. DTC Lowlight and SAW Viper are place holders until they get 25th versions in my collection.

consider me justly shamed... But it still looks in the display on the end that Stalker and the 25th boys are having a good laugh at (I'm not sure who the fellow is? Crazy Legs?) about his bright red helmet and oven-mits...
