Who is going? What days? Any locals want to recommend a place to meet?
And, on a personal note, if anyone lets me cut in line on Wednesday, I'll make it worth your while. I'm traveling with my 7 year old boy and I know he won't have the patience to wait all day in line for Hasbro. His grandfather is coming in from L.A. to meet us and entertain him on Friday. But I don't want to make my kid suffer while I wait for a spot at some good 'ole fashion Joe goodness.
We'll exchange cell numbers so we can communicate when I get in town. I can provide some 25th anniversary figs, a set of Target vehicles, or perhaps a 1,600 point Xbox live card. PM me so we can talk further.
Thanks.
Gaelinic

I am not sure how much its going to be, but I think its about $150, and they are limited so I appreciate any help...

I'll be there for the entire 4 day show, plus the Wednesday preview night. Is this your first time there? Please PM me if you have any questions or concerns about the SDCC.

This is my first time. And, I'm worried about lines. I've heard a couple horror stories about waiting in line for Hasbro. I don't have the patience to wait in line everywhere.
A couple questions:
1) Do you wait in one line to purchase all Hasbro products? Or, do you wait in separate lines for G.I. Joe, Marvel, Transformers, etc.?
2) What are the chances of me getting a seat or even a standing spot to attend panels for movie studies, cartoon studios, comic companies, toy companies like Hasbro, etc. ?
Would I have to get to those panels or presentations really early? About how early?
I have relatives and friends offering to take my son to the fun places in San Diego. This serves two purposes. First, I can wait in line so he doesn't get bored and geek out without boring him. Second, he's going to have the time of his life going to lots of interesting places.
That said I don't want to spend time in lines on my first day when there is so much eye candy. That's why I'm looking to see if I can meet up with people who can help guide me to the "right" lines and locations.

I've never been to the Con but me and my son are really looking forward to it. But I think he's getting a better deal since he's meeting aunts and uncles that are taking him to the zoo and some water park on Friday and Saturday.
But my main point in reviving this thread is to find out if anyone wants to meet up for some good 'ole Hisstank meetup. Anyone familiar with San Diego who can offer a suggestion for where to meet up? Perhaps a restaurant for lunch or dinner?
Oh, and cornbot, the manufacturers don't sell their exclusives for outrageous prices. I'm guessing it's the other vendors who purchase them.
Oh, and let's help eachother with linecuts at the convention. If we all exchange cellphone numbers we can let each other know where we'll be. Maybe we can even help eachother get good seats at the Hasbro panel. I don't know if that's an issue or not. But everyone keeps saying that lines are long at this convention.
