I'm embarrassed that I didn't say how good the idea is before I made my suggestion. It's a great idea.
There aren't a lot of great alternatives to "viper" that haven't already been used for vehicles: Asp, Adder, Worm. "Wyrm" could work. "Makkor" is the word for "viper" in Uzbek - maybe that could work? Quote:
You do have a few real joe code names but I thought it was a great concept and list. I picture these as a Kmart series. Sure Fire and Mad Dog are taken. You need a term for Viper, to build on. CG, maybe Red Sentinel? Bazooka could be Rocket Man. Flint could be another type of rock too such as quartz or sand or flintstone.

I am torn between making legitimate, bad-ass code names and making humorous code-names.
Like Dutch Oven. Or Raped Ape. I was also thinking of the resistance fighters from the 1984 movie Top Secret!, who all had some ridiculous code names: Avant Garde, Deja Vu, Latrine, Chocolate Mousse... Why isn't there a Chocolate Mousse action figure?

Eels = Sea Serpents
I would suggest change Snow Serpents to WhiteSnakes

lol, my first thought for Bazooka was "Boom Boom"
I'd Also prefer Devil Dog and Jarhead for Gung-Ho and Leatherneck. Mainframe or Dial Tone could be "Radiohead" |
