Thanks!
I've updated the Thrasher image, but from my end, it seems like the image here on the 'tank hasn't caught up with it yet. You can view the updated Thrasher in my Picasa account, though (click on my sig). |

Here are the last two Dreadnoks (I've already made the original three + Monkeywrench, Thrasher, Zanzibar and Road-Pig... they're in my Picasa album and I'm not making the Dreadheads... I don't really consider them "canon"):

I'm pretty exhausted and just a little burnt out from writing the filecards (240 profiles to go :P)... I think I might take a brief hiatus, maybe for a week, just recharge for a bit, maybe work on something else just so I don't lose my edge.
I've been toying (ha ha) with the idea of incorporating the Street Fighter II guys. As many of you may or may not know, the 1993 Street Fighter figures created by Hasbro are considered part and parcel of the ARAH line (not the 1994 Street Fighter The Movie figures, though), as listed in most price guides (and in Mark Bellomo's reference book). I don't know how they'd fit in, though. Vega (M.Bison to you guys who grew up in this hemisphere) looks like he could fit in with the Red Shadows (Shadaloo = Red Shadows). Guile could be an American SF guy attached to Action Force. Everybody else could probably be classed as mercenaries of some sort. Of course, if I do make these guys, it'll be based on their action figure designs, which, in many cases (such as Ryu and Ken), bear only a perfunctory resemblance to their video game appearances. |

I usually included the Street Fighter figures with Cobra. Shadowloo, Vega seems easy enough. I use the Mortal Kombat ninjas too. Sagat is one of my favorite figures.
Speaking of Street Fighter, I know you said you were done with the Dreadnoks, but what about the other two convention Dreadnoks that came with the Dreadheads? They shared the Zangief and Sagat heads. Crusher YOJOE.COM | Convention Crusher (Who incedently reminds me of "The Crusher" from Bugs Bunny) Demolisher YOJOE.COM | Convention Demolishor (The only Canadian Dreadnok) |

I love the new Thrasher, so kudos on that. I'm with Troy on Zanzibar though. I think that incorporating some of the new elements from the new version to the old one would have looked nicer, but it's all good. Gwagahyde looks great. I would estimate that a guy who has his kinds of "tendencies" he gives off, he must be the most badass member of the entire gang to not get constant shit from his biker brothers.
Burnout looks fantastic, although I've always used him as an independent operative in the vein of Kwinn, Firefly, etc. I could *never* reconcile a black guy in an outlaw biker gang (especially after having known the kinds of reactions some of my friends have gotten trying to join *regular* biker gangs). It's not impossible, but it's so unlikely that I just can't see it. Maybe he's like Uncle Ruckus? As for the Street Fighter characters, it's always your decision but I would *hate* it. The thing about the outside characters such as Sgt. Slaughter, Matt Tracker, or even COPS characters is that they are essentially 1980's characters without much other strong well known history outside of that. The SF characters have a continuous well known universe that's never touched Joe-dom. Hell, I advocated adding the Fridge and Rocky and I since rethought my positions on them for this very reason (I think I'm going to promote Grill to Fridge's spot and drop Fridge and Rocky from my final book). And enjoy your break, dude. You've absolutely earned it. Last edited by Master Thespian; 02-15-2010 at 12:54 PM.. |

I'm with Thespian on the SF characters. WOuld love to see your take on 'em, but I just can't see 'em in the world.
Burnout and G-Hide look great.

Alternatively, if I'm looking at the Dreadnoks as more like modern-day pirates and smugglers working the Gulf of Mexico/Straits of Florida area, the outlaw biker racism angle becomes less of an issue. Glad you're staying away from the whole Street Fighter thing. I only had some of the movie figs, like the Guile with SE and Wet Suit's bodies. BTW, I loved how you incorporated elements of the comic .and animation to make Wild Bill a tank driver as well as a pilot. Nice touch

Yeah, I made Wild Bill's pre-WOCS MOS "Cavalry Scout" because I think it pretty much covers all of his non-aviation abilities, as shown in the filecards (I had no idea he was shown as a tank driver in the animation, but since Cavalry Scouts are also trained to crew the M2/M3 Bradley, I guess it all works out :P). It allows him to be a reconnaissance trooper (a nod to the LRRP reference in his original filecard) and gives a plausible reason for him to be wearing a cavalry stetson hat (since I don't have him as an Air Cavalry guy... instead, I made him a member seconded from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment a.k.a. the Night Stalkers).
