Nice Zulu! I like the updates alot. Storm Shadow looks perfect. The Nikes look good too. Bludd looks good too. Does he have a holster for that sidearm? He seems to be missing his sinister smile. But I can't imagine its easy getting into facial expressions.

Firefly looks great too. Ok what's the deal with his choice of weapons? I'm really just curious. you usually have a reason for everything you do so I just curious why you choose that one?

Thanks Zulu. I see the holster now.

I guess I had not seen a Cobra in a while so I didn't make the connection with the AKs. I figured Firefly picks whatever he wants. Which is really you living vicariously through him.

Heh.

I'm giving the mercs a freer hand with their weaponry, though, since they're less bound to things like logistical standardization and whatnot compared to the "full-time" Cobra personnel: Zartan's got a Vintorez silenced sniper rifle (just like the one that came with the 25th/ME single-carded figure), Zandar's got an M14, Kwinn's using an M1 Garand (he's old school like that), and obviously, a number of the Dreadnoks don't even use what we would normally call weapons.

Encountered a bit of writer's block today and didn't really get much done in the way of writing filecards. Finished the glossary for the PDF, though (7 pages!).

Here are a couple Dreadnoks:



Thrasher and Zanzibar

Design notes:
  • This is my take on Thrasher... my concept for him is "lacrosse player meets motocross/off-road driver," hence the motocross armor and the mitts. I find him to be annoying, based on his various filecards (spoiled rich kid, engineers parents' deaths so he can get his inheritance) and there are few things that annoy me more than a grown man sporting a fauxhawk, so I replaced his old duck's ass pompadour with one.
  • Zanzibar took me a good long while to make (about 4 hours all told). The problem with him is that his clothes (particularly his half-shirt upper garment thing) don't have any real-world equivalents, so I spent a lot of time scouring my image archives and the internet for comparable references and suitable source pics. Took me awhile, but I'm much happier with this image than my previous take on Zanzibar.
