Glad you like them. And thanks for the heads-up on Ballistic's noggin. I've fixed it now, but you might have to wait awhile for the updated image to propagate through the servers (and clear your browser's image cache).

Wow you've been busy.
Love Mace! Love him. One of my favorites of the battle Corp era. Hawk looks great and even more identifiable with the helmet. Rumbler Great! White out Looks slick! Ballistic loks great! Crowbar is awesome. I had decided to name my Rollbar to Countdown to follow your Lead as an Air Liason Officer but now with this new guy I don't know? Damn Zulu! Rumbler looks good. Widescope I had seen but was waiting to see who he was. Great Job! Bullorn is badass! |

I renamed my Rollbar to Street and he's part of the domestic unit and still drives/rides the Snarler.

Yeah, like you, I thought it was odd that a guy code-named Rollbar would come with a vehicle (the Snarler cycle) that doesn't use one . And besides, I'd already used the original Rollbar in my Joe-verse roster. So there was no way I was going to have two guys using the same codename on the team.
I suppose it has something to do with the fact English isn't my first language that I went with a new codename (Crowbar) that sounds phonetically similar to Rollbar but is unrelated semantically (I don't know if this is universally true for all bilingual speakers, but to me, phonetic familiarity is just as important as, if not more important than, conceptual/semantic familiarity when making derivative brands or labels). Great work all around, z. The Big Fundamentals head looks weird to me on a normal sized body, lol.

I know. I was debating whether to use his or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's head (it's the "bank shot" codename, see). But Abdul-Jabbar's head looks even weirder than Duncan's on a normal-sized frame (it's his ears and nose, I think... they look so much larger than a regular-sized person's).

It's always nice to see previously used images make their return in an altered form. Really happy to see you recycled the head from Five Spot to make Anvil. The Kurt Russel head complete with five o'clock shadow is a nice choice, as is the cigarette (something we don't see enough of...but it's a kid's toyline ultimately). I like the Lifeline change, despite the loss of the Nash head. Icebreaker has a lot of individuality for a winter guy, and the name change is (as always) well thought out and relevant. Whose noggin is that on Blister? It kind of looks like an altered Baby Jay Penn, but not quite.
So that just leaves us with Trakker. The COPS fan in me is jealous that he made the cut, but MASK meant more to kids raised in the early '80s, he got a proper Joe line release recently and most importantly... he looks fantastic. Love the name change but I'm curious as to where he fits in. Oh yeah: WHITE CHOCOLATE! By my estimations, all that's left are the Renegades, Helix, Chuckles and Snake Eyes unless Bad News and No Flak got past me somewhere. There's always the possibility for surprises as Columbia, Fixer, Gutshot, Guardian One and Shroud have taught us. Almost there (the Joes at least)! |
