Went ahead and updated it. Thanks for the input! (oh, one thing, I always associated the "Murphy" surname with Ireland, and not Scotland... although I suppose it's common there too, so the Sokerk/Selkirk-John Murphy thing always had me wondering about the character's genealogy... I always thought that "Murphy" was the Irish version of the Scots' "McDonald" or the English "Smith"... then again, a lot of the Plastirama GI Joe figures had odd code names, so I suppose I shouldn't read too much into it).

Slogger sounds good.
I hate the Toyota Tercel. Not many on the road any more, but I use to have a rule about Tercels, (and please don't take any offense if anyone drove one or family did.), Never drive behind a Tercel, because the owner of the car is clearly someone who does not give a shit about cars at all. Really they were just too slow. My new "Tercel" seems to be the Hyundai Accent. |

Zulu, thanks for pointing out the misspelling on Avalanche's original file card. As a Mainer, it always bugged me that they couldn't get it right. Also, since he is from an area that is so heavily French-Canadian, he should have a more French-sounding last name. Costello just doesn't cut it. Even a name as simple as Albert, which belonged to a friend of mine from Madawaska, would work. Just food for thought.

Just got caught up on all the ones/changes I've missed.
Love Pathfinder and Muskrat. Like the changes to Duke and Hawk. Like Lady Jaye. Don't like Scarlett. I like Stanley. Very cute. Love all the new Joes you're making.

Yeah, I think so too.
I originally intended to use the Plastirama GI joes (Glenda, Manleh, Shimik, Sokerk, etc.) as part of Action Force, but after reading through their filecards, it bacame apparent to me that it was Plastirama's intention all along to make them "American" GI Joes, judging by their file names and the lack of birthplace information on their filecards: Glenda = Jane Mullighan, Manleh = Jason Kavanagh, Sokerk = John Murphy, Shimik = Jerome Ford, Topson = Frank Barbieri. They obviously aren't native Argentinian names. Quote:

Nice Zulu,
I love the Idea of the Navy guys getting The Blue Camo as a way of incorporating that ROC look. BTW the original Breaker toy is Bearded like the Cartoon, the Comic however he was not. Still your's looks way better either way! |
