That was incredibly epic... love how you used the Mara Jade to not tip off the fact that the characters were Scarlett and Snake-eyes.
This is the first time I really enjoyed one of your serious no-funny arcs. I can't applaud it enough. So I hope I don't come off as being totally jerkish when I make one suggestion. World War One was never called such until after World War II... so shouldn't it be "a second Great War"? Or was that done intentionally for clarity? Or like in the Simpsons... "I fought in World War I" "why do you keep calling it that?" "Oh... you'll see!" Either way, stupendous... bravo! bravo! Quote:
You totally blind-sided me on that one. I never saw SE coming... Great story. A couple of typo's but considering the amount of work that went into it (you weren't kidding about being long for you) more than understandable. And nothing that can't be corrected I'm sure.
I loved it, it had every bit of what makes noir great... the Cohen's would be proud. and I think, but i'm not sure, but Sam Spade just shed a tear somewhere!!!

WOO! I called it! AWESOME ending to one of, if not my most favorite yet, Numbers Story. The action, pacing, and dialogue were all pure pulp. A fantastic effort NOT lost on us, your loyal fans!

Thanks! I'd worked on it for a few months. Hope it didn't get too complicated.
Thanks a lot, IceWolf! Quote:

Thanks a lot, mcbarkerton! Hope you guys enjoyed the P.I. Joe story. Next week, and the week after that, I'll be doing some shorter, simpler comics. Planning something big for #100, so that project will need more effort and time. Stay tuned!

I called it that just for the sake of clarity, as well as a play on the modern cliché of "World War III." I wasn't aiming for complete historical accuracy, mind you. It's a temporaly displaced noir '30s/'40s that never existed and Cobra's around, know what I mean? Plus, the planes and tanks in the first pictures are from World War II... I guess even back then, Cobra was developing "futuristic" technology. Okay no offense was meant... I was just wondering. Makes sense. |
