Hi everyone,
Continuing my 3D fan art of my interpretations of characters in the GI Joe Sigma 6 universe. Sgt. Stalker - At first I tried using the beret cap but since it's S6, I opted for something else. Added a little graying in the moustache...because for some reason, Stalker seemed like an older peer. Agent Jinx - I know in the cartoon series, she's in her red/gold ninja garb. But wanted to try something different. If Snake Eyes can have his black outfit, why not give Jinx her own back outfit. I'll probably do another version with swords and stuff... with an outfit similar to the cartoon series. We'll see...

hmmm.....it looks like nothing has normal mapping. Does it? you may need to take the textures into photochop and create normal maps.
It would really help with the "flatness" of the textures. What I'd really like to see are the Models, untextured. Are they generic models you textured to look like joes? And did u rig them yourself? |

It would really help with the "flatness" of the textures. What I'd really like to see are the Models, untextured. Are they generic models you textured to look like joes? And did u rig them yourself? Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, they are pretty much generic models and then just modeling them. A lot of post-editing with photoshop as well. For example, with stalker...that bushy mustache, only way I was going to accomplish what I wanted was post-work on photoshop. So, back in the 80's...when I thought about Stalker's mustache...kind of reminded me of Apollo Creed. So, for post-work, I went search for Apollo Creed Rocky photos and then take that mustache and start manipulate it. But the head took a lot of tweeking, I started looking at photos of Stalker from the cards and although this model was a different form of Stalker, I wanted to tweak the nose to get something similar to the card. The next part is the pigmentation of skin color. I tried to darken the skin model but it was very hard, so I ended up taking layers of that head area and using Photoshop curves to make it darker and then more editing. As for the vehicles in the background, those are images from the modern toy line. Since a lot of the Hasbro images are on white background, it's easy to remove the white out of the vehicles. Shrunk the images down and added a smoke trail and put a few lighting behind the vehicles. Quote:
DAZ 3D - Free 3D Software and 3D Model Providers For Stalker, I used a generic model but for Jinx, you can use this model and then tweak it: DAZ 3D - Aiko 4 Base DAZ 3D - Aiko 3.0 Base Fortunately, You don't have to create the models from scratch, you can download these models and tweak them to whatever you want to make. For military based-models, here are some: DAZ 3D - Free 3D Software and 3D Model Providers CP! Content Paradise - Poser, 3D Content, Anime Studio, 2D Content, Audio, Software and More And then once you start laying out your models and whatever you put on there....just render. As for backgrounds, if you don't want to create your own, then I recommend a dude named Stonemason who creates these manipulable 3D backgrounds, cities or headquarters that would look great for your Joe's or Cobra's. DAZ 3D - Free 3D Software and 3D Model Providers But anyone can do this stuff these days with software available and models, clothing, backgrounds, etc. Unless you are pursuing a career in 3D, then of course, that'll definitely take some learning of major software and learning to model. But if not, you can create your own kick arse models, if you want to just do it for fun, then yeah....there are free software, models, etc. available.

Jinx looks cool ,i think she looks too much like the Baroness at first (glasses ,tight black costume ,long black hair).
I'd love to see an update on Jinx ,but not one that resembles the Baroness too much ? |
