I thought Ebay automatically bidded incrementally. So shouldn't the final price be 3250.00? If the runner up had a max bid of $3200 then how did it jump $1800 more when it should only increase by $50.

That's what I'm thinking, which would explain the huge jump in price.
Thing is, I think everyone registered to this forum would want one still MISB...however, realistically I'm sure it's out of most people's collecting budgets so it's easier to just say we don't want one when we secretly would. |

Supply and demand + disposable income = kooky purchases.
To find a mint in box anything 20+ years after it's original retail date is tough. Compile that with the collectible nature of the item and ones willingness ot complete their collect and you end up with sales like this. I have nothing against anybody who'd be willing to spend that kind of cash to get what they want. If anyone else here (who doesn't have one already) can tell me where I could find a mib Defiant for cheaper then fair play to you.

The thing that sucks is you can't even see the toy. It's almost like you're just buying a box with pictures.
I'd get that thing x-rayed or something if I paid 5K for it. Oh...add me for another guy who has no desire to own this, unless it's for re-sale and I make a nice profit. |

Well, I'll just be happy with a loose one that's missing a couple parts. But I don't want any yellowing or anything broken.
If MISB is going for $5000-$10,000 then what should a loose complete one go for? |
