Hi,
Put in a 100 dollar bid on a yellow Stalker variant and lost. The bid ended up at 140. This was yesterday. Today I got a second chance offer in my main email account stating the bidder did not pay, and I could buy it now for my max bid of 100. I immediatelly contacted the seller and asked if the deal was still on and was ready to pay. The seller informed me that she never sent me a second chance offer, the item was already paid for, and to report it to ebay. I quickly did, but then I used my Yahoo email to send a message to the addy posted on the second chance offer, and recieved a reply back asking me for my Ebay ID, Address and other info. By this time I already knew it was a hoax, but just wanted to see what happened. The email addy I recieved a reply from was " [email protected] " Keep an eye out for that addy, it is a fraud, I almost clicked on it when I first recieved the offer, Thank the maker I emailed the seller first or I would have been out 100 dollars.......... I learned if you recieve a second chance offer from ebay, make sure it appears in your " my messages " under your " my ebay " or it is a fraud. The second chance offer never appeared there, only in my home email......... |

Thanks for the heads up. I once got a second chance offer for a Megatron and yes, I did not move on the second chance offer.

I never ever take second chance offers. Far too many times it's been obvious that the seller or a friend of his/hers was bidding up the item and then got stuck with the high bid. I'd rather lose out than reward that kind of BS.
But yeah, scams are even worse. |

It is to bad that scams like this happen on e-bay. This is one of many reasons i will not shop there anymore...
