I don't understand why his feedback has remained so sterling if all of his stuff is as gross and moldy as what you bought.
Is it possible you were just unlucky?

Haha! I knew at least you would say that! But what's funny is that I haven't sold anything on Ebay in a few years.
It's like, you're a great employee and you know it, but when the manager asks you to come to his office and it makes you think about any possible fuck ups you may have done. Last edited by sbartek1974; 02-26-2020 at 10:10 PM.. |

I'm sure many of you know of this ebay seller: original-picker1.
He acquired a HUGE gi joe collection most of which is still misb from a guy who passed away that collected military toys. I just bought a sealed skystriker & night raven from him. When I opened them the toys were covered in mold. I asked if I could get my $1900 back and he said hell no I already opened them. So I had to file with paypal to get my money back. When I asked why some tape was loose on the box & why there was mold inside he sent me this reply on ebay which pretty much sums up the fact that everything he will have listed for sale will be in the same state as what I got. I copied & pasted it here: "Hi, I 100 % guarantee that this was never opened. The seals just creeped way a little. Probably from the heat in the estate this came from. House was packed by a hoarder who was a Korean war vet that collected military toys , games, and models.. being the house was never lived in it was never air conditioned or heated. It was his mother's house that he never sold when she died, and kept as a storage place.thanks joe" I see stuff he sells every week on ebay & none of it is ever cheap. I made the mistake of buying from him and now I hope to warn others. This guy is a real ass. And his stuff smells of mildew before you even open the box.

Looks an awful lot like water damage to me. I think the only conceivable way that this guy has maintained his positive is due to the fact that OP is a mad lad that opens them up, while most wont (I would too).
But I mean, I can almost smell the mildew from here, looking at those pics. |

Man you guys are hardcore. I just won a couple auctions for 88 25th anniversary Cobra troopers and Crimson guards for about $750 and I had to do a lot of soul searching before placing my bids lol.
Back in the day, I won an auction for about 150 DC Direct figures in or around 2005 for about $1,100 and the seller never sent the items and stopped responding to my emails. Paypal was also only willing to give me back around $400 so I was so bummed. My gf at the time called the seller's house non-stop for weeks, morning and night, until he was finally willing to meet me up and give me a cashier's check. Anyways, OP, I hope you get your money back. If not, I hope the universe hooks you up with awesome Ebay deals so you are able to recover your loss. |

At least I can assure you, you will receive all your troop builders from this seller.... If he gives you any problems, give me a heads up and I’ll take care of it, wink, wink.

I see on ebay you sent it out today. Super excited! I just got back into collecting after stopping for about 15 years and didn't even know these figures existed until I saw your auction. Would you happen to know if any of the knives from Maurauders Gun Runners would fit into the holder on the Cobra trooper's leg? Also, do you know if the MGR backpacks fit with these figures? I was thinking of getting some for the Crimson Guards. Thanks! |
