Hello all...let me keep this brief. About a month ago I sold a bunch of extra Joe stuff on ebay that I didn't need anymore.
When I went to ship everything I found that an SRO Wild Bill had got missplaced in the shuffle of figures. The winner had already paid, so I sent a refund and apology. Today I found that the winner left me negative feedback implying that I had lied about losing the figure. My feedback rating is still pretty high (99.4%) and my number is 637. My question: Is what he did considered feedback abuse or not? Also does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this? I mean this is my first negative in 3 years, so I guess it can be expected, but I'd rather have 100%. oh yeah, the winner is new to ebay...feedback number is 7 with 100%. Any help would be appreciated. |

Yep, contact Ebay, if you used the resolution center and you refunded his money, he would have had to have taken some action in order for your resolution to take place.
Just contact ebay by email. It usually takes them 72 hours to get back to you and they will investigate and remove the negative feedback. I just went through this process. I sold an Item, during packaging item became damaged, contacted the winner, setup a refund through the conflict resolution page, and the buyer agreed to it. Then left negative feedback. I contacted ebay. they removed it.

You might send him a polite email saying your sorry and asking him nicely to remove it, otherwise just move on.

anything is possible on ebay nowadays...

Thanks for the info. I just kicked him his money back...I didn't go through the resolution center...to be honest I completely forgot to...I'll contact ebay and see what they say about this.

O.k. Folks....I just got a reply back from Ebay about this and unfortunately it doesn't qualify as Feedback abuse...so the negative stays...
I'm not too freaked out though...I wrote a follow up to it explaining that I lost the figure and gave a refund w/apology...I've been selling for 3 years and this is the first negative I've ever received...no biggie... Thanks for all the info though. |

wait.. first negative would bump you down to 99.8 or 99.7 not 99.4 o well my math might be off

you should ask him to revise it.what a jerk.you can reply to it in the feedback forum and it will be posted right under his neg..i would put"buyer was refunded full amount item was lost/damaged.no biggie.the new ebay feedback system sucks big time,its turned me kinda evil,i overcharge on shipping now but sell my items for like 99 cents... since ebays fees are sooooo high now i want ebay to get as little as possible.my customers understand this too.whats the difference if its 99 cents shipping and 20 for the item or 20 bucks for the item and 99 cents shipping?none to buyer but a huge difference in fees to me.i ship the next day too.never later than two days after buyer pays.if someone rubs me wrong way like giving me shit about high shipping before auctions end i block their ass from bidding.i just had 2 feedback removed by ebay.one left me feedback without even paying for the item(i did not know that could be done,another reason ebay sucks)and one for feedback extortion where the winner sent me a message like,"hey i love the item....but...the shipping was kinda high,is there anything you could do to make me feel better about my purchase before i leave your feedback"?...i told him to kiss my ass,and fowarded his message to ebay after he left it..they removed it..and its going to get worse for sellers next month or too...just wait....mandatory refund policy,other bullcrap....
