That was such a funny skit, probably one of my favorites.

I have one. It has value to me. I would never sell it though. However I DID give the box away a few years ago to a friend who wanted the box because he wanted his complete. I don't see the need for so much hate and ignorant criticism in this thread. If someone doesn't want it, then move along, and let the rest admire something we recognize the value of. |

Then make some scans, set up a charitable site and let people download the scans for omigosh FREE, I am sure there are a ton of people who would take your scans and improve the quality. Hell I bet some could extrapolate it onto plastics and make a real effigy of the original.
Now that would be a kind act. Coveting a card board setup to make it go for millions is not what I call "freindship" lol But Like ya said, if people wanna spend $$$$$$ on card board, great, less paper for the land fills I guess, Go earth! |

I don't share your viewpoint. I think the CMCC is an awesome item worth every penny, but since you used the word "extrapolate" I'm willing to give you a pass. |

Now that would be a kind act. -Disassembling the playset. (And there may be tape holding parts together) -Flattening it on a scanner -Scanning it in pieces as it's too big for my scanner -piecing it together in photoshop -some color correcting to account for the scanner -finding somewhere to upload what is sure to be a large file or files. It involves multiple pieces (backdrop, balcony, chairs, missile, file card holder...). So this by no means is a simple task. So the main issues are (1)time and (2)durability of the original. So, it's not out of the question I'd do it, but it's not a quick fix. I'd love to share it with anyone who wanted it though. It's how I made my Star Wars early bird backdrop years ago before they reissued it. And I still would love the Death Star Hanger backdrop insert that came with some vehicles. That's even more rare than the Joe playset! |

I actually had an Admiral Ackbar t-shirt. Wore it to school, the first day of 4th grade.
Funny thing about the CMCC is how it sorta' resembles SPECTRE's famous hollowed-out volcano from "You Only Live Twice".

Now that would be a kind act. Nope, that would be bootlegging. And Hasbro doesn't like bootleggers. In fact, I would happily turn in anyone I caught bootlegging Joe stuff....see how long it would take them to issue a nice little C&D letter. I wish I had had an extra G to drop on this, but the $1,500 I just spent on four other figures drained me for a while.....and before you start your snarky commentary about it, let me remind you that (a) it's my money and (b) everyone collects differently. I could give a crap about finding a clear Wraith or a yellow Stalker, but I'm not about to degrade someone because they get excited about it. Just because you don't like - or agree - with something doesn't make it dumb.....one day I hope you realize that.

This figure was an exact duplicate, price sticker and all, of the figure that my father had given to me as a birthday gift. There was no dollar amount that could have been attached to that figure. I would have easily payed an additional $100 on top of that.
Wow I thought I was the only person who felt that way about price stickers. To this day I would rather have a vintage toy with a Child World sticker then none at all. Rock on!!!! |
