I once forgot to mention I wasn't going to ship overseas on an auction and I ended up paying three times what the auction went for in shipping fees.
While not the same as your problem, I still feel your pain.

ARG!!!
I told eBay about a bug in their calculate shipping option. They totally ignored me! I give 3 options: parcel post, priority, & UPS. Everytime I send out invoices I have to correct the calculator. Parcel post seems to be always higher than priority which it shouldn't be. Not to mention the "irregular package" check is always auto selected. I just can't seem to get rid of that. I even created a new listing but that didn't help at all.
