Ninja were used as bodyguards back in the day but the best way they served were disguised as a shogun/emperor/daimyo's servant, such as a gardener or maid. They would appear to be ordinary people who were close to who they were protecting and gave any would be assassin a false sense of insecurity. Often times their weapon was in fact a tool of their disguised trade such as a rake or garden shear. |

| Do you read minds or something? I was looking at a basket last night and thought "hey I should make some bamboo hats!" I want to try to make some devil masks too, like Obi-Shinobi did. Those would be sweet to have. I like the Ronin-Gasa and the Tengai shown here.

Pic 1 - Heap of trial run pieces
Pic 2 - Some of the better ones (some these are in circulation)
Pic 3 - First castings with black resin
I'm still new to the molding/casting process and have a newfound respect for Alyosha at Broken Arrow Toys and the guys at Trigate Creations for their casting abilities. It's a lot of work, especially when you want to make perfect casts. I've now put more time (and money, casting ain't cheap) into casting the weapons than actually making them in the first place.
That being said, until I get some more time to work on these, nothing will be for sale. I need to rework my molds and some weapons (thicker plastic, less green stuff) so I can get better results. Not to worry, these will be available sometime, I just don't have a idea when. There are ways in which to acquire some of the trial pieces, as some Hisstankers have found out ;).
As for a price point, I'll be charging anywhere from .20 to $3.50 for each weapon. |
