A.R.C.T.I.C.
Arid Region Command Taskforce - Intelligence/Combat Operating Orders: A.R.C.T.I.C. is the codename for G.I. Joe's elite Desert Operations Command & Control team. The play on words is intentional, to help mask the true location and nature of the taskforce from the forces of COBRA. The taskforce is divided into Infantry and Armor operations, though in practice they usually work together on most operations. There is also an Air-support contingent "
Echo Wing", but it reports directly to G.I. Joe Central Command.
The commander of the mechanized infantry segment "
Bravo Squad" is Warrant Officer "
Flint" Faireborn, with First Sergeant "
Duke" Hauser acting as 2nd in command. SSG "
Beachhead" Sneeden, SSG "
Airborne" Talltree, SSG "
Low-Light" MacBride, CPL "
Breaker" Kibby, SPC "
Shockblast" Faria and PFC "
Ambush" McMahon compromise the core infantry assault force within the
A.R.C.T.I.C. force. Additional members are in the process of being recruited for
A.R.C.T.I.C. work.
Bravo Team also employs the use of a 10 unit-strong HMMWV platoon.
2nd Lieutenant "
Steeler" Pulaski is in command and is responsible for all armor, "
Alpha Section", and logistics support for
A.R.C.T.I.C. in theater. Staff Sergeant "
Bazooka" Katzenbogen is acting 2nd in command for the armored division.
Alpha Section is currently equipped with 3 M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks, 2 M2A1 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, 1 M3A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle and a M113A2 APC.
Misc:
Sergeant "
Stalker" Wilkinson is acting lead in local relations and all intelligence gathering operations. Stalker is currently attached to Bravo Squad conducting door-to-door public relations and intelligence sourcing.
"
Echo Wing" is commanded in-theater by Captain "
Ace" Armbruster, with Warrant Officer "
Wild Bill" Hardy operating as executive officer (XO).
There will be "tan shirts" who are going to be generic Joe's who will fill various vehicle roles etc, as I do not have enough "named" figures to accurately fill all the needed ranks.
This is a work in process
