Go to page 2 for updated pics.... all the tech is still on this page though...
Alright guys, it's not done, but thought I would show you guys some progress pics...
Here we have a 1983 HISS Tank. I have had it for 19 years (since I was about 7 or 8). She has got a ton of play time so I figured why not.
I have made my own stats for my HISS, as not much is stock.
The HISS Viper Special Forces Attack Vehicle: "HISS AV"
Power plant: Chevy 572 Big block (600 Hp)
Top speed: 85 MPH off road, 135 MPH on road
Weight: 8.25 tons (Loss of tracks, original 9.75)
Range: 250 miles, 350 with axillary tanks
Armament: Remote burst activated Projectile launcher (From RAGE Tank)
Ordnance: Long Range Dual Barreled Concussion cannon (from RAGE tank)
Special fetchers: Titanium wheels with M.A.R.S. rubber shock absorbing tires, ability to run on 87 octane (has octane injection for high performance power plant), can drop all weapons for recon if needed.
I started with new paint. I used Tamiya German Gray spray paint. I found some camo patterns on-line and printed and used them as templates for masking. 2 coast of paint and we have some black/gray camo....
the top stock canons were scraped from one of my other custom, the Brawler (also found on the 92 GI Joe HQ). That was a pain in the but to say the least. I also mounted a gun to the side for some defense against the Joe's. It came from the parts bin off of a Cobra RAGE.
UPDATE: Top gun was replaced with the one from the RAGE, along with it's missiles...
Now for the fun stuff... As I did not hear a yay or nay on wheels... It's got wheels! I used Destro's Razorback wheels for this. I have always liked wheels better anyway. The rears have a pivot for off road terrain. I will say this was the biggest pain of all, but I like the way it turned out.
I have much more to do, but thought it might help someone thats running out of ideas ;) Let know what you guys think....
