| | Steel Brigadier Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: southfield michigan Posts: 2,177 | TF/Joe skystriker project a little while a go i purchased a exo-squad/robotech veritech fighter. what i plan to do is a simple repaint. i want to repaint the fighter to match a skystriker even though it is much small. i plan on purchasing decals from cobra stickers for the skystriker and the TF/Joe crossover set 1. just so you know the fighter will not be able to transform though i wish it could. i have already taken the fighter completely apart. no i must start painting wish me luck.

I'm gonna have to look-up more info on this toy. | it should hold a 3 3/4 joe. i plan on getting the comic pack ace from the 25th line and hopefully he will fit. i didn't try a figure in it yet i was to excited. i just took it apart. if anyone knows for sure please let me know

| | Steel Brigadier Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: southfield michigan Posts: 2,177 | so i plan of asking advise as i go through this project. i might be jumping a head but this has been bothering my for a bit. what do you think i should do with the head? i was thinking of trying to make it look like a camera. but i want to keep the same design. aerial camera look nothing like this so i might make a decal with what might look like three different lens on it, giving it a tri-clops look to it.

To make it look more real-world, I guess you can make it look like the TRAM sensor on the A-6E Intruder.
Random fact: when Matchbox was developing that toy, they originally intended it to transform, which is why the leg, some hinges, and the legs are able to move downwards. My memory is kind of rusty but since Hasbro was using the 1/55 VF-1 Valkyrie mold borrowed by Bandai/Matsushiro, for release in the US, Matchbox was not able to go ahead with making their VF-1 Veritech transformable.

My store has a loose one for 20 bucks and before I asked, my comic guy said it does not transform :(
I thought it did........and I never had one as a kid so I did not know.

I thought it did........and I never had one as a kid so I did not know. | It only partially transforms to guardian/gerwalk mode sans arms. $20 might be okay, the last time it was released was in the mid 90's for the Exosquad line.
