looks good.....one thing what paints do you use? looks like you need to thin them down some and do multiple coats
other than that maybe change the head to a ROC flash head and you got it!!

Firefly is my favorite Cobra member, and I say this one is looking great and I will be taking notes for one to make in the future.

Does he really just look like a "Fat stuffed Thanksgiving turkey"? I saw another Firefly on the web, and they used some type of fabric for the vest and belts. It looked great, but they said that w/ the shaved down resolute trooper vest it looked like an overstuffed fat assed turkey from turkey day. What do you guys think?

Thanx I'll try using some better paints. The ones I have now are leftover from my college days so they old and sucky. Thinning and multi-coating is something hadn't thought of yet as well, so thanx alot for the tips. I don't know if I wanna change the head. Union Jack's mask was pretty much what inspired this project, and I don't think any of the Firefly heads or the Flash head look like Resolute Firefly.

Here are some pics of this custom Resolute Firefly I made. Tell me what you think. I'm open to any constuctive critisizememsms( I can't spell that). Oh yeah..this is my first custom so....you know just....you know like......umm..yeah.
Recipe: Head-Union Jack Upper Torso-Resolute Trooper Lower Torso-ROC Flash R.Upper Leg-ROC Flash R.Lower Leg/Knee-Resolute Trooper L.Upper Leg-Comic Pack Firefly Arms & Hands-Resolute Trooper The vest was from the resolute trooper as well, but I cut off the pockets and sanded it down. The bandalear(spelling aggghhh) is from a Flint in Cobra disguise that I cut up and glued back together. The pockets on it are what I salvaged from the Resolute trooper's vest. I recently added a backpack that I made from the v1 FF. I sanded down all for sides of it as well as the inside. I took the top part off by scoring it with an exacto knife, then breaking it with pliers. For the ar on the top I took a piece off of a G scale Santa Fe caboose that we got at GoodWill. The paint sucks so don't remind me. |
