I'm not sure where to put this, so I'm starting in the WIP section.
So, no matter what I do, my photography is lousy. Lousy photographs obviously don't really showcase the time and effort I put into the my customs, so it's very frustrating. Digital camera or iPhone, the final images always look low contrast and un-vibrant, for lack of a better word. I look at everyone else's photography, and your images are sharper/crisper, just much better. More detailed. I've done inside lighting and outside lighting. Heavy direct lighting and indirect lighting. Lighting diffused by velum sheets (it's an art paper similar to parchment paper used for cooking, if you're not familiar). Cool lights sources and warm light sources. Nothing ever seems to work. I don't know if the problem comes when I go to save the photos in photoshop or somewhere else. I save them at 72 DPI, then the right size in terms of pixels, and then save them as jpegs. How does everyone else take their photographs from camera/phone to computer and keep the images looking so good? Any input would be appreciated. I only posted this particular image because the thread requires a photo. Most of my photos are this blah. Thanks!! Last edited by Clockwise; 12-18-2020 at 03:33 AM.. |

Buy a iPhone tripod and lower the angle of the shot.
Buy a Macro lens for you iPhone, you can get better quality. Open the settings and make sure you are taking photos at the highest quality, then upload those images straight to a sight like "Flickr". Do not save at 72 dpi. TUrn all the lights out and use cheap LED lights with a diffusers already on. Google "three point lighting" Use the "rule of thirds" for more dramatic compositions. Go six inch, they photograph better... I am still learning myself, but here's some of mine: |
