Gotta say if Hasbro makes some decent blue shirts or Vipers in the classic line, and the long shot would be a Hiss Driver, I would totally want a 1:12 Hiss for a patrol diorama setup.

Thanks! I've never looked into vacuforming. If it requires hot materials (which I assume it does) then the material I print with (basic PLA) couldn't survive anything like that. It might be an option to print in a more temperature-resistant material but then I'd have to wonder about the material thickness of the canopy. I've seen some 'Tankers post about doing vacuforming for custom card bubbles but is it viable for making something as thick as a cockpit canopy? If so, that would make a good option for this tank. Beyond that...replacement vintage Skystriker canopies, here I come!

So the modern Hiss (the one with the cockpit changed for modern joes, I'm using a SDCC version here) is a bit big for my 3D scanner (Einscan-SP). This isn't a finished scan to make it water tight. I still need to position it right to get the cockpit details.
My intent is to then scan the HISS II and resize the top to match that toy and have a black smooth side HISS II. But out of curiosity, would this help you at all? I'll upload to thingiverse when I'm done

Is that doable on your turntable magic machine?

It really depends on what the topography of the mesh looks like. If it's a hairy mess it might be easier to manually re-model the parts I need to revisit. In any case, it couldn't hurt to have access to the scan.

The hardest part is working with clear and black parts. So I'm using this to help with the scans https://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/15/chimera/ The interior is a little different as its bigger for modern figures, not the ARAH version. Let me mess with it the next few days and see what I can get
