So as many of you know I design stuff and 3d print it, mostly vehicles. I finally sat down and buried myself into designing a figure blank. I'm currently on my 3rd iteration, with some tweaking still to do. Once the blank is done, then it'll be time to start modeling and digitally sculpting characters. The pics I have are FDM printed but a friend of mine is testing some on his resin printer as well.

Man, there's a TON of potential here. I can't wait to see how these evolve, definitely keep us in the loop.

The best part about these, no additional hardware, no screws or metal pins. They are 100% 3d printed. It only takes about 3 hours to print all the parts on an FDM machine. My friend that is printing them in resin hasn't gotten back to me yet on the time resin printers take.

A though just occurred to me: since this is a digital file, you can easily just scale it up to 6" and make 6" blanks as well as 4" blanks!

In theory yes, but you would probably have to adjust some things. Since the tolerances would be a bit out just scaling. A ball joint that relies on a .2mm gap scaled up to being a 6" figure you now have a .3mm gap and could be sloppy.
