I've installed LEDs on the flashlights and the NVGs.

Great stuff Digler! I didn't realize that LED's could be made small enough for Joe scale figures.

This kind of thing gets my tinkering itch going. You can buy discrete LEDs for this type of project. I have seen them as small as 1.8mm (a bit over 1/16 of an inch in diameter) for through-hole varieties and all the way down to 0.8mm (just barely over 1/32 of an inch) for on-chip surface-mount LEDs.
Voltages vary, but some discrete LEDs are in the 1.5V range (which will work with a LR44 "button" battery as is commonly used in toys in everything from light-up bouncy balls to Hexbugs to Chap-Mei lights-and-sounds vehicles) which would make concealing the battery pack inside a 1:18 backpack a very feasible task. I'd like to see how he got those tiny LEDs actually installed though. I guess a pin vise with a really small bit...and a lot of patience? I wonder if a sheathed fiber optic strand would be a helpful option. There is a 0.005" diameter option...that's tiny! If anyone wants to play with fiber optics, there is plenty to look at here: https://www.digikey.com/products/en/...rd=fiber+optic Where there are "low" and "high variants, do the "low" versions for visible spectrum through infrared. The "high" versions are for UV (if I am understanding things correctly). Ugh...I need an electronics workbench!
