It was too pricey to print an entire vintage Skystriker stabilizer wing just to test the "mating surface" of the part, so I just printed a stripped down hump portion of the stabilizer wing:
I need to beef up the shoulders toward the front of the piece, but otherwise, this turned out pretty darn well I think. The installation is extremely secure. I'll probably dismantle the plane to take this off just so I don't damage the shell, it's that secure.

The VAMP Mk II steering wheel's revision print now fits well in the dash:

And finally for tonight, here are some additional photos of the tow cable as well as a set of smoke grenade launchers and antennae all printed in this dark grey material:

Wee indeed. From what I have read, you will need an epoxy to bond this nylon material to other stuff (such as the wall of your Terror Drome where this hinge will be installed). Superglue won't cut it because this material is so porous. I have read recommendations in several places for using Permatex 84101 PermaPoxy 5 Minute General Purpose Epoxy. That stuff is supposed to work great on the nylon parts.
Also, now that the test tow cable has finally arrived (that took weeks in queue at Shapeways waiting to be printed), I think I am ready to ship your loaner parts back at long last. I'll double-check everything and PM you to set that up. Thanks again for your assiatance with the loaners!

I customized my Terror Drome with a weathered paint job, so I wasn't worried about original, unaltered parts. I need to post some pics of my Terror Drome. Jason |

You might want to look into Terro Drome door hinges also. I had to do some Dremel work and customizing from extra pieces to repair the gunner's door hinge and the support leg hinge.

Jason Zap, would it be cost effective to make replacements for the blue plates that wrap around the terrordrome? I am working on a custom base in which I would like to stack a couple Terrordromes and I don't want to have to cut original ones down so they would need to be the same width but just a little shorter in height.

I would love to see some pics of this.

I would need a door section and whatever wall section it attaches to, but I imagine a repair piece could be dreamed up. If someone has those parts (broken or otherwise) to spare I could take a whack at it.
Are you referring to the crenellated "rampart wall" sections with the big cobra sigils on them, like this? Only with the crenellation removed so it's level across the top? If not, I'll need a visual from you in order to answer that question. If so, I'll need to know the dimensions of that piece to get a rough idea of price. Yes those and if we could create to more for the large Gun rampart sections as well. I will take some measurements and send you the info when I get home.

I got your PM with the tape measure photos. I'll whip up a rough approximation and see how it prices out. How tall is the rampart wall piece if you lay it on its back and measure to the apex of the arch at the front of the wall? This would basically be the depth of the wall piece and I'll need that approximate dimension as well.
