I'm tinkering with soft goods again. Here is a first draft of the fancy dresses for Baroness and Lady Jaye in the "Eau de Cobra" episode:
I think this head's hair works better, but I don't have the right skin tone in-hand at the moment:

With Lady Jaye barefooted, reminds me more of the episode Skeletons in the Closet. The 2nd head does look better, but like you said the skin tone is not the same.

Zap, what materials are you working with? I've had the same idea for both of these characters and some other stuff. I'd like to make a 4" version of this Mary Jane Watson for a civilian Cover Girl
The chest piece looks similar to 25th Lady Jaye. If I could just figure out the right material to over the bottom torso to make the remainder of the dress. May try the soft-goods skirt from SW Obi-Wan. I've done some soft goods in the past using material from Star Wars figures. Jason |

It's a stretchy, fully-synthetic, spandex type of fabric. I don't know who manufactures it. My local Wal-Mart carries it in their fabrics section so I buy a yard of each color I think I might need and then I can tinker a whole lot. A yard of fabric is an awful lot of material for 4" figures.
I'm in the process of making a second Zarana shirt to send to you, actually. I don't have any brown fabric to offer but I can toss in a square of gray, red, white, black, purple, or blue if you want. I added soft goods to the bottom half of a MU figure, pretty much like you're talking about, to make some medieval princess figures to go in a Schleich castle. It's a workable idea but you'll have to paint the upper torso to match the fabric once you find a brown fabric you like.

Dude that Medieval Princess Figure is awesome!
Yeah, I'd love to check out some of that fabric! Thanks. I made a custom SW Guri (Shadows of the Empire) figure that I converted into a Baroness figure. I'm currently working on updating this figure with a blue MTF Valkyrie upper body. The skirt is from a Princess Leia Collection ANH Rebel Ceremony Princess Leia. Jason |
