Use a hot water bath to soften the chest piece then pull the ball/pin out. It's a completely reversible move which is nice.

Here's hoping everything's going well with the no-crack adapters! Definitely going to buy some for a few customs I'm working on!

I still need to take measurements and make adjustments for the creation of a female version. Also, a minor update on the Joe legs on MTF waists adapters... I am having trouble getting consistent fit with the waist balls so I still don't have a version that is solid enough for me to feel comfortable putting it out for sale. The print tolerances in this material (plus the material's properties and ability to be compressed) are making that "tight enough not to wobble, but not so tight it might crack the MTF torso open" balance is proving to be a challenge. I am not abandoning the effort, but my last print - which was supposed to be the victory lap - ended up fitting too loose. Kind of a bummer, and a setback. I have an idea for a new ball type that might help bridge the gap, so I'll be trying that next along with a series of different size "standard" waist balls to see if I can get a winner. At this point, I am tweaking in the thousandths of an inch range looking for success. Stay tuned!

Minor update: Female no-crack adapters signs of life:
I am having difficulty with the "cup" peg on this version. The taller walls on the clip-on spacer ring are interfering with the range of motion. Adjustments are necessary. But also...a Fortnite version will be available:

Awesome! Let me know if you hit any snags.
The test print model for the (hopefully final) adapter modifications is basically ready to go: I am just working out some articulation designs to include in the order to save on shipping. I am going to put some hinges/pins, swivels, and ball/socket designs in the sampling so I can find a reliable way to print functional parts for things like this: I also want to make some additional parts for use with the Gundam "mechanical chain base" or "machine nest" type of sets. So many ideas, so little time! Anyway, once I finalize a few moving parts the order will be off to the printers and we'll be on the final path to torso adapter availability. |

Hey Zap,
You might want to look into moving your shop to MyMiniFactory.com. I think you get a better profit margin with them over Shapeways. You can run both platforms.
