OK, so I have a bit of mildly bad news this time around.
In retrospect it is foolish of me, but I have been building and testing these adapters with one male and one female MTF figure as a base. Since the legs of each were working well on the same size hip balls I thought there wasn't any need to go popping legs off of other MTF and Val figures just to test them...after all, they are factory-produced modular figures and should have pretty tight tolerances, right? Well apparently I randomly found and used the tightest two sets of legs MTF has ever made. I made this sad discovery while I was excitedly cracking another MTF waist open to make a new custom to post along with the announcement that the adapters are ready. I cracked the waist, inserted the adapter, popped the torso on, and and all was going well until...WHAT?! Floppy legs? How is that possible? Maybe it's just this one figure that's off. I'll try another from the same batch. Nope, same problem. Hmm.. Maybe it's just the figures in this color. Nope, the same problem exists in other colors from the same order. Maybe it's because I am working with original first-run Kickstarter figures on this newest custom but I did all of my testing and developmenton a later-model figure (a Valkyries kickstarter Tera-Ops male figure, to be precise). Nope...other later-model figures have the same floppy legs when placed on the adapters that work properly on my original test figure. Well, maybe it's only the male figures that are different and maybe the Vals will be all right. NOPE! Every other Val figure has legs that flop around on the adapters, too. I've tried about a dozen of each figure type on these adapters and ONLY these two original test figures' legs actually have tight movement on the adapters I designed. FUDGE! What a rookie mistake to only test on one of each figure type! So that was upsetting. Fortunately, I had already created and printed a ball joint "gauge" earlier on to help speed up development of neck barbell adapters and MU leg adapters later on down the road. Essentially, I have a row of ball-on-peg pieces in specific, incrementally larger sizes so I can pop heads or legs onto them and instantly find out what size ball they need. Using this gauge I have found out that the size I need to work with the vast majority of MTF/Val legs is actually somewhere at or below 0.0050" larger than what I have been using. My sizes are each 0.0050" apart on the gauge and the next-larger size is almost uncomfortably tight. It works, but you have to work it a little harder than I would normally like). So this is where I need feedback from you guys. If I just run with the 0.0050" increase, the legs should be tight enough, but might be slightly tighter than the optimal size. That would mean you would have to take a little extra care during installation of the legs to not bend and break the hip bar. Once the legs are on, they are great. It's just a bit snug getting them on in the first place. The benefit of just going with the larger diameter without testing slightly smaller sizes (that might work slightly better) is that you guys can order the adapters basically right now rather than in a week or two. The down side is that they won't necessarily be as perfect as possible. So if anyone is interested in just ordering a set of adapters right now I can make an initial listing available with the understanding that you are not getting a fully-tested product. OR, I can keep them under wraps until I can test another revision and hopefully land on a size that is juuuuust right. What do you guys think? Do you want to be adventurous and get them NOW, or do you want to wait and get a more precise hip ball size?

TLDR Version:
My original test figures both had hip sockets that are slightly smaller than normal. I can offer an adapter RIGHT NOW with a larger hip ball to account for the difference, but it will be untested and might be slightly too large. Should I offer the untested fix or do you prefer to wait for another test round?

I'd say test abit longer. As I already plan to wait for postage, I can wait abit longer. Heck, with young children in the house and my wife going back to school, I don't have time to get on here but maybe once a day now.

OK, I have put up an "early bird" listing for 5-packs of the UNTESTED revisions of the main two adapters:
Male MTF Adapters Female MTF Adapters These aren't publicly visible in my shop, so this is a 'Tanker special for the adventurous. Once I have a test print inbound I'll knock these listings offline so if anyone wants to get a jump on these, have a ball!

Sorry, apparently I forgot to include the "key" in those links. I have revised the links in my post above. They should work now. I'm still getting used to the nuances of the Shapeways interface and I didn't realize a key was necessary. The original links worked for me, but apparently only because I was already logged in as myself. Oops!

Awesome! Come back and post some results when you have them installed. (Does anyone need a tutorial?)
While you're waiting for your order to ship, don't forget that the BFS male lower torso will need to have a little shaved down off of the "love handles" on each side at the bottom in order to fit inside the MTF male waist piece. You can take care of that while the torso adapters are still printing (assuming you haven't already done so). The BFS female torsos don't need to be altered at all to fit inside the MTF female waists though.
