Not satisfied with this yet; I wanted to improve upon the 50th anniversary Torpedo figure we got as it still seemed a bit underwhelming. The head for one just didn't work, and this is a rare instance of me preferring a 25th headsculpt over a newer one - but I'd still like to eventually find a better version. It still seems too small. I added some BBI SEAL gear and gave him an M-4 rifle. Better, but still not there yet.
I'm also looking forward to the Marauders store opening back up (end of the month - uggghhh...) in the hopes of some new merch being available so I can try to build a Torpedo in a cammo uniform.

I think the 25th Wet Suit head is better, cause it's bigger. But would need painting. Or even better 30th Sci Fi head.

I also just realized through sheer coincidence that the arms and legs for the 50th Torpedo are repurposed from the Retaliation "Ninja Duel" Snake Eyes, which I just opened when I found one while reorganizing. I don't recall having one open, but this is a pretty nice figure - definitely underrated, even for a Snake Eyes. The range of articulation is excellent, and the belt is even the same that comes with the 50th Torpedo. I actually replaced the knife that came with that one for one of the Retaliation Trooper serrated knives because it fit better - and this Snake Eyes figure comes with two of those same knives in black. Two swords, to knives, but only one sheath for each. Oh well. So I'm thinking this body might be better to swap out entirely. Whatever differences in plastic are (they have a different feel) combined with the 25th Torpedo torso seem to limit articulation significantly, while the Snake Eyes body moves sooo much better. Just need to clean off the Arashikage symbol off the shoulder. I think the SE torso works just fine as a tactical wet suit with added protection. I might give it a light grey paint wash. In fact, I wonder if I could find a couple more of these ND Snake Eyes figures cheap to repurpose for a team of SEAL divers...

If you have one, you might try switching legs with an Ultimate Snake Eyes (Retaliation SE V2). The body makes a good base for a wetsuit.
Another head you might try is the Rwnegades Tunnel Rat head. I used it for land based Torpedo.

I used 30th Sci Fi (Like steve 2477 suggested) a few years back for a Torpedo figure:
I think that the sculpt looks SORTA Asian, and the skin tone is a bit darker than most. Good luck finding one tho... Honestly, I think that 25th Airborne is perfect, if you're willing to face swap onto another head. Not everyone is up for that kind of work tho LOL HM

Yeah, I think that will be my go-to Torpedo head. Once I get some of the Navajo figs from the Marauder WWII project, one will probably end up as my Airborne.

I used a Sci-Fi head for my diver Torpedo
And a Retaliation Flint head for my Special Missions Torpedo I think the skin tone is dark enough to pass for Hawaiian. Jason |
