I like how the wash makes the camo pattern look more 'authentic' - looking forward to seeing the end result.

My son caught sight of it so I had to hide it (it will be for his upcoming birthday). Hopefully I'll have some time to work on it some more next week. I am considering painting it Cobra Blue. Yea/Nea?

I think some cobra blue might be awesome! Maybe with a couple shade darker blue in that same camo pattern.

More work last night, it is looking pretty go to me, maybe to the point of diminishing returns. I have worked a bit more since the pics though, mostly mud on tires and more texture here and there. If I was to paint it blue now, it would be a glaze over the entire thing. Cockpit is still unfinished and what you see is very wet paint in there. ;p
All in all, a meh vehicle has become alot more interesting for sure. |

I have worked it up a bit more and hit it with Vallejo Mecha matt varnish, I think it is finished now. The lad of course wanted to make it Batman's vehicle (have a 3.75 movie one). Batman got it back from the bad guys who had stolen it!
I do have to say, it is really enjoyable painting up vehicles. Was never into painting models, but vehicles are multipurpose models/toys. I have also started eyeing my 24(?) inch Boba Fett figure. He could use some paint apps! |
