During the early phases of the lock-down I finally had time to resume work on this baby. I had to spend quite some time cleaning before I could start organizing the interior.

I figured that I need to finish most of the interior detailing first before I could rivet in the flight deck. The hangar deck markings were spray painted using stencils. I could have used sticker, but I found out that I could actually chip and scrape the real paint, simulating wear. |

IMG_20200420_174046 by elfbait, on Flickr A view of the hangar deck from behind. Note the bundles of rubber tubings, which will be used to portray conduits all around the hangar deck interior. It turned out that I needed more than TWICE the amount, and that's not counting the larger plastic tubings!!! |

A "Joe's eye view" of the hangar deck forward of the elevator. Note the overhead tubings and conduits. Most are either 10mm, 6mm, and 4mm plastic tubings that have to be heated and shaped so they conform with the ceiling girders. Damocles 10 by elfbait, on Flickr A view from the elevator deck. The sheets of paper you see are part of the masks, to prevent overspray. IMG_20200426_174727 by elfbait, on Flickr These fine wires are for interior lighting. I considered a lot of light choices for lighting, mainly because once the flight deck is installed, there's no turning back. I finally settled on tiny LED fairy lights. My back up would be LED COB emergency lights that can easily be stuck on the ceiling via magnets. IMG_20200720_183924 by elfbait, on Flickr When the fairy LED lights were installed, they worked perfectly! I used warm white, which I preferred over plain white. Here's another view from the rear hangar deck (which has no lights installed yet: IMG_20200720_183911 by elfbait, on Flickr |

Very Nice! I am excited to see the progress. The lights and conduit really add to the realism of the project, and the sheer scale of it still impresses.
Any ideas on the current weight for the metal frame? Curiosity struck me when I realized you working on it outside, which implied it was being moved

Wow! This looked cool but adding the lights and stenciled markings has really nailed the scale feel of this vehicle. Amazing design and construction work.
