Hi everyone!
I started on an Arashikage mountain type diorama. Im using the Torii from the ninja battles set. I weathered it using dry brushing and washing, with various browns. Finally I sanded, and gave it a clear coat. I also bought a mini zen garden statue set, that comes with foo dogs, a stone lantern, which does light, and a gong. I might not use the gong, as for the rest, I need to repaint, so it looks more like stone. I ran out of blue construction foam, but I had enough to have an idea of how the rock formations might look . I want to go with a Retaliation inspired scene, on a rocky, snowy mountain pass Last edited by Makeshift; 02-22-2017 at 11:15 PM.. |

Reminds me of the awesome Arashikage diorama from Sideshow for their 1:6 scale figures. I always wanted one for use with regular 4" Joes.

Can't wait to see the finished product. Where did you get the zen mini garden set from?

I made the terrain for the diorama. I used blue insulation foam for the basic shape then I poured plaster over it. Then I carved the plaster into a rocky shape. Then I colored it with Woodlawn scenics watercolors. Afterwards I used Vallejo snow effects for the snow effects.
