I started building planning this compound about a week ago. After picking up the 93 Hq which I had as a kid I couldn't stop setting up diorama stuff so I decide to build this in my office. All of the joes are modern and each compound level measures 46x64 .The whole base includes the following Pieces and Features..
-83 HQ -93 HQ -Mobile Battle Platform -A couple of pieces like the guard towers are from those military sets you find at Big Lots. -A dry dock that holds the killer whale which is under the Battle Platform. The bottom level or "Sub Division 1" holds the majority of the Joe's vehicles along with sleeping quarters. I still have a bunch of detail painting and modeling to do. We're planning a "Sub Division 2" which will be the Joe's training area which should include gun ranges, kill house, armory and rappel towers. |

Looking good man, I'm envious of your space... I dig the lighting you got set up, what's the skinny on the lights?

Thanks. The lights are 10.00 from harbor freight. Yesterday I started building some chain link fencing and did some more painting so I'll have some update photos later today.

So decided I wanted some more texture on the ground instead of a flat color so I went and got some of that terrain modeling stuff from Michaels. I was also up all night photoshopping signs and some other papercraft stuff.

Very cool, mind you I'd never be able to set up anything this size, I don't have the space for one, nor the character selection, not to mention the fact that I'd have to repaint every piece beforehand.
